Coppage-Coppedge Family Association, Inc.

The Coppage-Coppedge Family Association was formed as a non-profit organization in 1948 to perpetuate the traditions, history and records of the Coppage-Coppedge family.  The family consists of descendents of Edward and William Coppage, who came to the United States from England between 1648 and 1652.  The brothers settled in Northumberland County, Virginia, establishing the Virginia line, and subsequently received a grant of land on Kent Island, Maryland, thus originating the family name in Maryland.  Each year the family gathers in August in a location chosen by the current President.  Reunions have been held up and down the East Coast and serve to preserve and foster family history and tradition.
