August first Saturday 1871. Church met at Big Springs. After worship set for business.
1st Chose Elder S. B. Hansard modr.
2nd opened the door for the reception of members.
3rd Agreed to letter and delegates to the Association. Appointed Brethren Eld. Mark Hurst, Nathan Hurst, Samuel B. Day, Jesse Evans to bear the same. The clerk to prepare a letter to next meeting.

August the 7th 1871. Church met at Big Springs. After preaching set for business.
1st Opened the door for the reception of members and rec'd. by experience Elizabeth Zeaks. Eld. William Hammock modr. on Wednesday she was baptized by William Hammock.

Sept. first Saturday 1871. Church met at Big Springs. After preaching set for business.
1st. Opened the door for the reception of members.
2nd Association letter read and approbated.

Oct. first Saturday 1871. Church met at Big Springs. After preaching set for business.
1st Opened the door for the reception of members and received Margaret Breeding by experience and Sunday following she was baptized by Elder James Long.

Nov. first Saturday 1871. Church met at Big Springs. After preaching set for business.
1st Chose Brother Nathan Hurst modr.
2nd Opened the door for the reception of members.
3rd Brother [page folded, can't read name] called for a letter. Granted.
On Sunday received Olly Nunn by experience.

December first Saturday 1871. Church met at Big Springs. After preaching set for business.
1st Chose Brother James Bunch modr.
2nd Opened the door for the reception of members and received Brother Hiram Hurst & Sister Eliza Hurst (his wife) by letter.
3rd Brother Harrell Rosenbalm acknowledged he had been fighting but the fight was imposed on him and there was no way for him to avoid it but to run. The church forgave him.
On Sunday church met. After preaching set for business.
1st Chose Brother Nathan Hurst to open the door for the reception of members and rec'd. Nancy Parker by experience. She was baptized January 10th by McDonald.
