February first Saturday 1879. Church met at the school house on the branch. After preaching set for business.
First opened the door for the reception of members and received none.

March first Saturday 1879. Church met at Big Spring. After preaching set for business.
First opened the door for the reception of members.
Second agreed to a petition to our sister churches at Mountain Creek, Dotson Creek & Union requesting their ministers & deacons & inviting the brethren & sisters to be with us at our May meeting on a sacramental occasion & appointed Brother John Killion and Hiram Hurst to bear the petition to Dotson Creek, Thomas Evans & Phoebe Evans to Mountain Creek, Eld. Nathan Hurst & D. H. Rosenbalm to Union. The next day on Sunday John Rosenbalm and Dock Bullen were baptized by Eld. Nathan Hurst. Done by order of the church.

April first Saturday 1879. Church met at Big Spring. After preaching set for business.

May first Saturday 1879. Church met at Big Spring. After preaching set for business.
First opened the door for the reception of members.
First [sic] received a petition from our sister church at Dotson Creek & also from our sister church at Union requesting our ministers & deacons & invites to the brethren & sisters to be with them at their next regular meetings on a sacramental occasion.
Second Brother William Hammock called for a letter for him and Susan Hammock his wife which was granted.

June first Saturday 1879 no meeting was held.

July first Saturday 1879. Church met at Big Spring. After preaching set for business.
First opened the door for the reception of members. The next day being Sunday Mandy Ritter [Ritter is crossed out] Hurst and David West was baptised by Eld. Nathan Hurst.

August first Saturday 1879. Church met at Big Spring. After preaching set for business.
First opened the door for the reception of members.
Second elected Eld. Nathan Hurst pastor of the church to fill the vacancy of Elder Mathew McDonnal deceased.
Third there was a petition from our sister church at Mountain Creek for Eld. Nathan Hurst to take the pastorial care of the church which was granted.
Fourth agreed to letter and delligate to the Association & appointed Nathan Hurst, Jesse Evans, D. H. Rosenbalm, P. L. Evans & Daniel Green to bear the letter.

Sep. first Saturday 1879. Church met at Big Springs. After preaching set for business.
First opened the door for the reception of members.
Second tuck up the case of Sister Nancy Hurst and Mindy Hurst and appointed Brother Hewit & James Bunch to go and labour with them and invite them to attend at next meeting.
Third the Association letter was read & received. D. H. Rosenbalm clerk. Nathan Hurst mod.

October Second Saturday 1879. Church met at Big Spring. After preaching set for business.
First opened the door for the reception of members. The next day being Sunday the church door was opened. William McBee and Barbry McBee joined by letter.

Nov. first Saturday 1879. Church met at Big Spring. After preaching set for business.

First chose Brother David Hewet clerk pro tem.
Second opened the door for the reception of members. Nathan Hurst mod.
