Church Record for 1885

Sister Anna Shelton departed this life sometime in January 1885. Was a member of Big Spring Church in good standing in full fellowship with us.

April first Saturday 1885. Church met at big Spring. After preaching the church was called to order.
First invited our sister churches at Mountain Creek and Dotson Creek for their ministers and deacons & invite the brethren and sisters to be with us at our May meeting on a sacramental occasion. Done by order of the church. D. H. Rosenbalm clerk. Nathan Hurst mod.

May first Saturday 1885. Church met at Big Spring. After preaching the church was called to order. There was a request from our sister churches at Mountain Creek, Dotson Creek and Powels River for our ministers & deacons, invites the brethren and sisters to be with them at their May meetings on a sacramental occasion. Done by order of the church. D. H. Rosenbalm clerk. Nathan Hurst moderator.

Sister Ann Bundon a beloved member in good standing in full fellowship departed this life May the 7th 1885.

July first Saturday 1885. Church met at Big Spring. After preaching the church was called to order and agreed to letter and delligate to the Association and appointed Brethren Elder Nathan Hurst, D. H. Rosenbalm, David Hewett, P. L. Evans, John Simmons & Rotin Dunsmore to bear the letter. Done by order of the church. D. H. Rosenbalm clerk. Nathan Hurst moderator.
