This is a history of the Dahl family of New York and related families. All of my known ancestors are from New York City . Their immigrant ancestors arrived in the early to late 1800's. This includes Dahl-Zimmer, Sturzenacker-Berger, Schaber-Billinger, Hoffmann-Jung, Bednarik -Benksa, Kluchar-Kruska, Kuczyuski-Wesalkowna, and Koskowska -Skorinicoska. My wifes ancestors are from India. Genetic research indicates Y-DNA (Dahl) ancestry traces to the R1b1b2 haplogroup and mtDNA (Bednarik) lineage is from the U2e haplogroup.
