BETTY J. CONAWAY,

70, died at 4:33 a.m. Jan. 3, 2004, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
   She was born July 29, 1933, in Pineville, Ky., to Dewey and Chanzie Marie Miller Dameron. On Aug. 3, 1953, she m a r r i e d Charles Conaway, who survives in Wapakoneta.
   Mrs. Conaway had been a h o m e m a k e r. She was a member of First Church of the N a z a r e n e , Lima.
   Survivors also include two sons, Charles Conaway Jr. of Lima and Rodney (Renee) Conaway of Uniopolis; a daughter, Tammarra McDaniel of Cridersville; a brother, Fred Junior (Madelyn) Dameron of Jackson; a sister, Ermmajean (Johnny) Arnold of Jackson; nine grandchildren, Chanzie, Rachel, Megan, Austin, Shaine, Shelbi, Nathan, Victoria and Matthew; and two great-grandchildren.
   She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tonya K. Parsons; and a brother, Kermit Dameron.
   Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The Rev. Ron Boyer will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, near Uniopolis.
   Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
