LILLIE MAE “MEM”
EVANS,
97, died at 4:52 p.m. Jan. 7,
2005, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
She was born Dec. 14, 1907, in Middlesboro, Ky., to John and
Martha Warrick Jones, who preceded her in death. On Sept. 27, 1927, she married
Howard Evans,
who died Aug. 13, 1997.
Mrs. Evans
was a homemaker. She was a member of Redoak Baptist Church, Middlesboro, Ky.,
and attended Missionary Baptist Church, Lima. She had been a member of Brands
Lake Fishing Club, Wapakoneta.
Survivors include a son, Boyd (Regina)
Evans
of Wapakoneta; a daughter, Maxine (Harold) Ball of Wapakoneta; 15 grandchildren;
34 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Mark
Jones; and several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ira Burton
Evans;
two daughters, Ruby Raines and Martha Belle
Evans;
four brothers, Bob, Henry, Lloyd and Bert Jones; and three sisters, Winnie
Maxwell, Annie Jones and Mary Mullins.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bayliff & Son
Funeral Home, Cridersville. The Rev. Terry Brock will officiate. Burial will be
in St. Matthew Cemetery, near Cridersville.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the
funeral home.
