63, died at 2:35
a.m. March 31, 2006, at her residence.
She was born July 13, 1942, in Knoxville, Tenn., to William
R. and Esther Heith Lowery,
who
preceded her in death. Her husband, Roy A. Lawson, survives.

was a h o m e m a k e r. She previously worked for Time Cleaners and Marimor
Industries. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include six sons, Eddie Mays of Vallejo, Calif.,
David (fiancée Stacey Heltzel) Hawkins
of Syracuse, Ind., Donnie (Julie) Hawkins
of Grover Hill, and Doyle Hawkins,
Darvin Hawkins
and Terry (fiancée Melanie Briley) Hawkins,
all of Lima; three daughters, Christine Rogers of Richmond, Calif., Connie
McKenna of Chico, Calif., and Shari (Ryan) Barrett of Middletown; two
brothers, George Lowery of Knoxville, Tenn., and Ed (Charlotte) Lowery of
Seymour, Tenn.; two sisters, Dorothy (Junior) Osborne and Betty (Alvin)
Gosnell, both of Knoxville, Tenn.; 21 grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Dwayne
Hawkins
and Douglas Hawkins;
two brothers, Frank Lowery and Wayne Lowery; and two sisters, Helen Miller and
Barbara Love.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chiles & Sons-Laman
Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. Pastor Dan L. Phillips will officiate. Burial
will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 6 to
8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
