CECIL HICKS, 81, died June 6, 2006, at Springview Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Sept. 15, 1924, in Hippo, Ky., to Joseph and Maudie Bailey Hicks, who preceded him in death. On July 23, 1961, he married Dealie Patrick, who survives in Lima.
Mr. Hicks retired as a welder from General Dynamics and had worked at Neon Products and Clark Equipment. He was a member of the American Legion and the United Auto Workers. He was an avid arrowhead hunter. He was always there for his family for anything they needed, and they all know he loved them very much. One of his most cherished memories was when he took his wife to Hawaii. He was a Christian, having always attended church throughout his life, and with that he taught his family to love the Lord. His family is comforted knowing that he is now with the Lord.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Monroe, Alka and Sedge Hicks; a sister, Christine Hicks; and a grandson, Joshua Maitlen.
