   DAVID L. “RUNT” HOOKER,

58, died at 2:20 a.m. April 13, 2005, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.

   He was born Oct. 19, 1946, in Lima to Raymond and Iona Bielefeld Hooker, who preceded him in death. He had been married to Jeanette Clay, who survives in Lima.
   Mr. Hooker retired from Ford Motor Co. Lima Engine Plant. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed his grandchildren, fishing and garage sales. He was a sports fan and enjoyed watching college football, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He enjoyed going out to breakfast.
   Survivors also include three children, Julie (Matt) Clark of Chelsea, Mich., Jennie (Eric) Garver of Lima and Jessica (David) Roller of Dayton; five grandchildren, Jenaye, Garret and Jacob Garver and Olivia and Kaleigh Clark; three grandcats, Tony, Larry and May; eight siblings, Arlene Prater of Russells Point, Dan (Sue) Hooker, Jim (Joanne) Hooker and Tom (Joyce) Hooker, all of Lima, John (Nita) Hooker of Russells Point, Don (Candy) Hooker and Lynn (Bill) Griffin, both of Lima, and Larry Hooker; and several nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Leonard Hooker; and a nephew.
   Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. today at St. Gerard Catholic Church. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery.
