MIDDLESBORO -
Curtis Lawson, 80, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005, at Claiborne County
Hospital, Tazewell, Tenn.
He was born at Blanche, Ky., the son of William "Doc" Lawson and Mary Jones
Lawson. He was member of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, John Henry Lawson; one
brother, William Lawson; and a grandson, Timothy Dewayne Lawson.
Survivors include Curtis Lawson and Tammy Baker, Middlesboro, Clayton and
Tammy Lawson, Williamsburg, Ky., Farmer Lawson and Ann Maiden, Pineville,
Dewey and Carol Lawson Rice, Arjay, Ralph and Charlotte Lawson Upton,
Middlesboro, Steve and Cheryl Lawson, Laurel Hill, and William and Linda
Lawson Layne, Arjay; 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; a host of
brothers and sisters, and a host of other relatives, friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Creech-Durham Funeral Home
with the Rev. Irving Gipson presiding.
Burial will be in Big Jim Cemetery at Arjay. Pallbearers will be Curtis
Lawson Jr., Curtis Ray Lawson, Clayton Jason Lawson, Clayton Jr. Lawson,
Farmer Douglas Lawson, Derick Jackson, Justin Layne, Christopher Layne, and
Terry Baker. Honorary pallbearer will be Donnie Lawson.

from 4-10 p.m. Saturday at Creech-Durham Funeral Home, Pineville.
