Laymon Jackson, 49, was driving south on highway 66 at about noon Saturday when he drifted across the center line and sideswiped a Mack dump truck, according to Kentucky State Police. Jackson's vehicle, a 1996 Chevy Monte Carlo, went into a spin after colliding with the truck and came to rest facing west on the shoulder of the roadway.

The Mack truck was driven by Darrell Collins, 35, of Flat Lick. He was not injured in the accident.
