Ft. Jennings, July 1-Final rites for Francis Wreede, 31, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wreede, who was killed July 23, 1943 in the Georgia Islands will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the St. Lutheran's Church here.

Pfc. Wreede was inducted into the Army Feb. 11, 1941 and received training at Camp Shelby, Miss., before being sent overseas in May, 1942. He served in the Fiji Islands and Guadalcanal before he was sent to the Georgia Islands. Pfc. Wreede was killed in the battle of Munda. He was born Mar. 1, 1912 in Ft. Jennings.

Surviving are his parents, two brothers, Evan, Delphos, and Morris, Ft. Jennings; a sister, Mrs. Laverne Brandehoff, Ft. Jennings.

Military services will be conducted by the Ft. Jennings post, American Legion, at the graveside.  Final rites will be conducted by the Rev. Charles E. Spithaler, assisted by the Rev. Charles Stroh. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery. The body will remain at the Harris Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, until services.
