According to "Grace" (Mary Grace) Hydeman Horton, from a visit about 1977, "...the Heitman name was changed to Heidman when her parents [Jacob Peter Heitman & Catherine Maud Grace] were married, then changed to Hydeman when the family moved to Red Oak, Iowa. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PLEASE NOTE! - As with most genealogy research, much of this information is not as yet verified.
