Second Generation

John Cheater (George1) born aprox. 1827 in Chamberlains, Nfld.  Married Mary Ann _____, ?.

They lived in Chamberlains. Many of their children died young and are buried in the Topsail Anglican Cemetery.  John died April 29th,1892.  He is also buried in the Topsail Anglican Cemetery.

 

Notes on John Cheater:  In church burial records for the early 1860’s his name was written as Chater, by 1869 they had it spelled Chaytor.  He is the 1871 Chamberlains directory.  He left a will, which can be found at the Supreme Court of Nfld.

There are likely more but I don’t have info on them.

 

Note:  The small numbers beside the bracketed() names refer to which generation the father, grandfather, etc. is in.  Example: Frederick William Chaytor(George2, George1), means that Fred’s father is George in the 2nd  generation, and his grandfather George is in the 1st  generation.
