--Clyde Erwin has moved back to his farm near Oakland.

--W.L. Stuckey is at home from an extended business trip in Little Rock.

--Alex Cawthon is clearing new ground to set in strawberries next spring.

--The Tate saw mill is now at work in the Lewallen timber east of Johnson.

--Grandma McMullen and son, Earl, are visiting relatives in Sibley, and Cameron, Mo.

--Aunt Linda Maxey is no better today, and it is thought that she can survive very little longer.

--Mrs. Lizzie Corlew returned yesterday to her home in Bentonville, Ark., after a visit, with relatives here.

--Charley Foster, a well known berry picker, who makes an annual trip throug here, writes that he is wintering at Lawton, Okla.

--Capt. G.P. Hanks and wife visited their grandson, Otto Hanks, at Fayetteville, and attended the A.H.T.A. doings down there last week.

--R.M. Lichlyter and wife returned home Friday from their extended visit with relatives in Douglass, Kansas, where they had a very enjoyable time.

--Watson King and family are visiting relatives and friends while looking around for a location. They arrived recently from Portales, New Mexico.

--Local folks enjoyed another big spelling match here Saturday night which was also attended by Profs. Buck and Grant, who came out from Fayetteville to talk on educational topics.

--Some of the local apple growers are placing their fruit in cold storage while others are selling at present prices which varies according to variety and grade of fruit. Most of the fruit from here is sold at Springdale.

--The new road has been granted through Prof. Cole's farm, and those folks who have long been complaining about the Clear Creek crossings can begin to think about helping to open up the new way where good bridges are going to do away with the dangersous roads.

--Manford Reed, formerly of Johnson, is here from his home in St. Louis, Mo. He has a fifteen day leave of absense from his duties as a government inspector of meat products of the big packing houses of St. Louis where he has been stationed since being transferred from Ft. Worth, Texas, some years ago.

--B.F. Campbell of Fayetteville, is the newly elected President of the Arkansas A.H.T.A. Chester Holland, of Greenwood, was re-elected for Vice President, and J.A. Farley of Springdale was re-elected Secretary and Treasurer. Judge W.E. Williams of Fayetteville, was elected as delegate to the next annual meeting of the National A.H.T.A. in Los Vegas, New Mex. Hon. A.W. Mintun, of Elkins was chosen as alternate delegate.

--M.D. Mason and Phil McGuire, Jr. were the local delegates who represented the Johnson A.H.T.A. in the big doings at Fayettevile, where the National and State Orders held meetings last Thursday and Friday. The next meeting of the National Order will convene in Las Vegas, New Mexico, the first Thursday in October, 1916. E.H. Steman, of Kahales [?}, Mo. is President, and J.P. Scott, of Fayetteville, Ark., is Vice President of the National Order.
