Johnson Jottings of 1932
June 29 - A very good program was given Friday night at the Self-Help club meeting and a large crowd attended.
-Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Lichlyter and daughter Hester have returned from south Arkansas, where they have been visiting.
-A good many people from here are attending church at the Methodist revival in Springdale.
-Betty Lou, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Howell, died last Wednesday at her home. Funeral services were held Thursday at the Church of Christ, with burial in the Stuckey Cemetery.
-Miss Mildred Cardwell and Miss Bonnie Hanks spent Sunday with Miss Marietta Cassat of Salem. They attended the children's day pagent given at Mt. Comfort Sunday morning. About 50 children took part in the program. A few from here enjoyed the children's program given at Stony Point Sunday night.
-Miss Marietta Cassat of Salem spent Saturday night with Miss Mildred Cardwell.
-Johnson's mill is now ready to grind corn again. It has not been running for some time.
-Johnson's singing class is getting ready for the singing convention at Buckner the second Sunday in July. Another singing convention will be held here the third Sunday in July.
-Mrs. John Late and daughters Anna Mae and Virginia, of Springdale, visited here last Wednesday.
-Mrs. Lester Elliott of Johnson and Mrs. Lettie Mayes of Fayetteville are attending the Benton county club women's rest camp being held at War Eagle Mills.
