WALDRIP, Marion Franklin - Marion Franklin Waldrip, 81, of Gentry, died 17 February 1992 at his home. He was born 19 August 1910 in Washington Co., AR, son of John R. and Treecy Luper Waldrip. Former employee of Peterson Industries of Decatur and a member of Springtown Penecostal Church. A resident of Decatur having moved from Gentry 7 years ago. Survivors: wife Cleo, 2 sons, Luther of Gentry and Allen of Gravette. One brother, Monroe Waldrip of Decatur and 9 grandchildren and 13 grandchildren. WALL, Artie - Artie Wall, 72, resident of Nampa, Idaho, died Sunday, November 11, 10:20 p.m. after a year's illliness. He was born February 14, 1889 in Marion County, Ark. Survivors include two brothers Billy of Exeter, Calif. and Virgil of Kerman, Caif.; five sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Thurman, Mrs. Pearl Downum and Miss Ora Wall of Springdale, Mrs. Iva Anderson of Elm Springs and Mrs. Fanny Sullivent of Alma, Ark. Funeral arrangements are incomplete but services will be held in Idaho.

WEAVER, Arthur - The friends of Arthur Weaver were shocked last Friday when they heard that he had died at his home near Springdale. Guy Pearce accompanied the funeral party to Hindsville where the remains were laid to rest Sunday. Arthur had lived here for several years and the bereaved family have the sympathy of their friends here. (The Springdale News Jan 23, 1903)

Arthur Weaver died at his father's home a mile south of town last Friday afternoon of pneumonia after an illness of about one week. Arthur was just approaching manhood, was a good boy and a general favorite with whom he associated. He was buried at Hindsville Sunday. The News tenders sympathy to the afflicted relatives. WICKWARE, John Y. - John Young Wickware, 78, resident of 103 North Mill St., died Aug 20, 1:30 p.m. in a Rogers nursing home. He was born Dec 13, 1887 at Johnson the son of Elizah and Jane Maxey Wickware and was a retired laborer and a Baptist. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Arlis (Mabel) Dixon of Springdale; one sister, Mrs. Pearl Layne of Colton, Calif., three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Callison-Sisco Funeral chapel with Rev. Devoe Whiteley officiating. Music was from the Immanuel Baptist Church. Pallbearers were Earl West, Tommy Lockhart, Thurman Claypool, John Dillard, Johnny Bailey and Wayne Harper. Burial in the Bluff cemetery was under the direction of Callison-Sisco. WILKINSON, Bess - Bess Wilkinson, 90, of Johnson died Feb 17, 1991, at Springdale Memorial Hospital. She was born June 26, 1900, at Pettigrew, the daughter of Henry Benton and Catherine Richey Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of Johnson Church of Christ. Her husband, Harvey Jack Wilkinson, preceded her in death. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. John C. (Rena) Shipley of Mammoth Lake, Calif., and Mrs. Marvye Jordan of Springdale. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Johnson Church of Christ. Burial will be in Stuckey Cemetery under the direction of Sisco Chapel of Springdale. [Springdale News, undated clipping]

WILKINSON, Mrs. Margaret Ann - Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Ann Wilkinson, 72-year-old resident of Johnson, who died at her home Tuesday, were held this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the home. Rev. P.L. Lierly officiated at the services and burial was at Stuckey cemetery under the direction of Nelson-Savage funeral home of Fayetteville. Mrs. Wilkinson was the wife of the late Virgil E. Wilkinson, who died a year ago. She was born in Tennessee buthad lived in Johnson since she was 12 years old. She was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include two sons, Harry, of Fayetteville, and Jack, of Johnson; a daughter, Lillian Kell, Fayetteville; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Grave, Fayetteville, Mrs. May Kate, Springdale, and Mrs. Nora Osborne of Richmond, Ind.; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.[Springdale News, 10 Aug 1949]

WILKINSON, Mrs. Rosetta - Mrs. Rosetta Wilkinson, 74 year old resident of 612 South Hill Street, Fayetteville, died Thursday afternoon at 3:25 at the City Hospital, Fayetteville, after an illness of three weeks. Born in Madison County March 28, 1875, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Bohannan. She had lived all her life in Fayetteville except three years spent in Monett, Mo. She was married to Robert L. Wilkinson at Ozark, Mo. in 1901. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held in the morning, December 24, at 10 o'clock in the chapel of Nelson's Funeral Home in Fayetteville with the Rev. Euell Logue officiating. Burial will be in the Stuckey Cemetery under direction of Nelson's Funeral Home. In addition to her husband, survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Mary Luper of Fayetteville; one step-daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Morrison of Monett, Mo.; one step-son, Fred of Monett; three brothers, Jim Bohannan of Cedarville, Kan., John Bohannan of Springdale and Edd Bohannan of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Burbridge of Aurora, Mo., and Mrs. Lula Howard of Springdale; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.[Springdale News, Friday, December 23, 1949]

WILKINSON, Mrs. Rosetta - Funeral services for Mrs. Rosetta Wilkinson, 74, who died Thursday in City Hospital, were held this morning in the Nelson Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Euell Logue. WOHLFORD, Frank Arthur - Frank Arthur Wohlford, 70-year old retired Washington county school teacher died at his home in Johnson Wednesday, June 1, at 10:15 p.m. after a short illness. He suffered a stroke Friday May 27 but seemed to be improving until a few hours before his death. Mr. Wohlford was born July 21, 1876, in Huntington county, Ind., the son of J.M. Wohlford, and Sarah Ellis wohlford, natives of Indiana. He moved to Arkansas from Fort Wayne, Ind. in 1919, settling first at Clarksville, where he started a teaching career of 30 years in Arkansas. He was a member of the Christian church and held memberships in the Masonic and the I.O.O.F. Lodge in Indiana. He came to Washington county in 1923, and taught at Fishback, Stoney Point, Johnson, Harmon, Shady Grove and Meadow Valley schools, until his retirement recently. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lillie Blanche McPherson Wohlford; two sons, Earl D. Wohlford, Rt. 1, Springdale, and Victor H. Wohlford of Little Rock; two brothers, W.W. Wohlfod, Huntington, Ind., and Clarence Wohlford of Gold Hill, Ore.; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at the Churchof Christ in Johnson Sunday afaternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. J.H. Burgess, Christian minister officiating. Pallbearers will be former pupils of the deceased. Burial will be in Stuckey cemetery under direction of Watson Funeral home of Fayetteville.
