Ida (Hansen) Eschenbaum in wheelchair with grandaughter Jane Eschenbaum Burdick with son Tom and husband William Burdick. I add this here because Robert Ketterling purchased and maintained the carousel behind them in Faulkton, So. Dak. This became a main attraction in Faulkton and the city fathers made the logo for Faulkton the Carousel City because of Robert, Loretta's husband. So his legacy lives on in Faulkton. After Robert's death, Loretta later sold it to the city of Faulkton. They maintain and are responsible for it's continued contribution to the city. It is now housed in a building to protect it from the elements. Ida is Loretta's aunt. This photo is circa 1983. |
