Christ's Heirlooms

                                                       Norwegian Dowry Trunk

These look very similar to Christ's chest. I forget exactly what these were labeled as, other then Norwegian travel trunks.
Look at "Hansen Heirlooms" for a photograph of Christ's trunk.

This is a Norwegian Dowry Chest from 1847.  This was in the Duluth, Minnesota Train Depot which is now a museum.  There were many Scandinavian immigrants in the northern Minnesota area.  This display was all Norwegian artifacts from that time period.

I went to the Minneapolis Institute of the Arts in Minneapolis and saw this Norwegian trunk.  It was quite large, about the size of a "cedar" trunk.  One can see typical colorizations on it.  I suspect this is also a dowry trunk.
