ALFRED SIMON ALLEN

Howellsville man, missing for days, found dead today. A searching party this morning located the body of Alfred Allen, 71 year old Howellsville farmer missing since Sunday, in a field 300 yards from his home. There was no indication of death by violence. The body was discovered at 10 o'clock by Ishamel Barnes, a member of the party of 50 which had searched intermittently for the aged recluse since he disappeared late Sunday afternoon.
Allen lived by himself on the R.A. Hedgepeth farm near the old Tom Allen place about ten miles from Lumberton. His death was attributed to a heart attack or to exposure. Surviving are a wife, Mrs. Lillie C. Allen, who made her home in St. Catherine, Florida; a son, Marvin C. Allen of San Francisco, California and four daughters, Mrs. Foster Kinlaw of East Howelsville; Mrs. Jasper Prevatte of St. Pauls; Mrs. Lula Curington of St. Catherine, Florida; and Mrs. Sally Di Maggio of Tampa, Florida.

JAMES CLINTON ALLEN

Final tribute was paid J C Allen 79, who died Wednesday night, in funeral services conducted at Zion Hill Church Friday at 3PM. Burial was in the New Hollywood Cemetery. Officiating ministers were Rev. R.C. Melton of Clinton, Rev V.A. Davis of Lancaster, South Carolina and Rev. J.C. Halliburton of Lumberton.

CLAUDE A. CURINGTON

died December 4, 1986

Claude A. Curington, 58, of Lithia, died Thursday. A native of Bushnell, he was a lifelong resident of the Tampa Bay area. He was a veteran of World War 11, serving in the U.S. Army, and was a memeber of 10th Avenue Baptist Church, Moose Lodge No. 2158, Riverview and Legionnaires of the Moose. He is survived by his wife, Irene M; four sons, Claude A. Jr., William E. Daniels, Arthur T. Daniels and Michael L. Daniels, all of Tampa; four daughter, Cherrie Delph of Zephyrhills, Cleo Jean Martinie of Immokalee, Emily Vade of Fort Myers and Georgine McKinney of Brandon; his mother, Lula Roepke of Tampa; one brother, Dennis Curington of Yankee Town; one sister, Marion virginia McKinnon of Tampa; and 19 grandchildren. LULA MAE ROEPCKE
Lula Mae Roepcke, 87, of Tampa died Sunday at University Community Hospital, Carrollwood. A native of Lumberton, NC., she moved to the Tampa area 60 years ago from Orlando. She was a retired nurse's aide and a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She is survived by a sister, Sally DiMaggio of Tampa, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. LOTTIE A. PREVATTE
Funeral services for Mrs. Lottie A. Prevatte, age 93, who was the widow of the late Jasper Prevatte of Route 7, Lumberton N.C., and also the daughter of the late Alfred and Lillie Allen, who died on Friday and were held 3 p.m. Monday at the Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Worth Gerald and Rev. Claudie Brisson officiating. Burial followed the Frank Kinlaw Cemetery. Surviving are two sons, Lloyd Lawrence Prevatte of Lumberton, and Harvey Alfred Prevatte of Bladenboro: two daughters, Mrs. Eva Britt and Mrs. Myrtle Davis, both of Lumberton: two sisters, Mrs. Lula Roepcke and Mrs. Sallie DiMaggio, both of Tampa, Fla., 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-granchildren. Active pallbearers were Jimmy Davis, Buddy Davis, Ronnie Pait, Randy Carter, Jasper Prevatte, and David Prevatte. Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Prevatte, Joe Prevatte, Dunk Davis, Mitchell Allen. Music was by Mr. and Mrs. Seth Lewis. Flower ladies were the ladies of Middle Adult Sunday School Class and Believers Sunday School Class of Zion Hill Baptist Church.

Funeral Services for Mr. Marvin Allen, 73, of Tampa will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Purcell Funeral Home Chapel, Bushnell, with Rev. R.V. Clayton officiating. Interment at Matchett, Cemetery. Survivors, 3 sisters Mrs. Lottie Prevatt, Lumberton, N.C., Mrs. Lula Roepcke, Tampa, Mrs. Sallie DiMaggio, Tampa. Several nieces and nephews.

VIRGINIA KINLAW
Mrs. Virginia Elmira Kinlaw, 68, wife of Foster Kinlaw of Lumberton, Rt. 5, died Thursday at 1:45 p.m. in Robeson County Memorial Hospital, after an illness of about three weeks. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Zion's Hill Baptist church, with Rev. Bobby Seagroves in charge, assisted by Rev. Robert Melton. Burial will be in the Sessoms cemetery. Surviving are her husband; three sons, Varser of Lumberton, David Earl and James Albert Kinlaw of Lumberton, Rt. 5; five daughters, Mrs. Lelia Perry of Lumberton, Rt. 5, Mrs. Vivian Dowless and Mrs. Virginia Hall of Newport News, Va., Mrs. Lillie Herring of Portsmouth , Va., and Mrs. Eva Lee Smith of Hallsboro; three sisters, Mrs. Lottie Prevatte of Lumberton, Rt. 5, Mrs. Sallie Demaggio and Mrs. Lula Mae Allen of Tampa, Fla., and one brother, Marvin Allen of the state of Washington; also twelve grandchildren.

Tampa Tribune-- Funeral Notice - Mrs. Lilly C. Allen, 75, of 1601 1/2 31st, passed away Wednesday afternoon. Funeral services and interment will be at graveside in Matchett Cemetery, near St. Catherine this afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Simmons Wade in charge. Mrs. Allen is survived by a son, Marvin R. Allen of California; four daughters, Mrs. Virginia Kinlaw and Mrs. Lottie Prevatte of Lumberton; Mrs. Lula Mae Currington and Mrs. Sally DiMaggio of Tampa.

Funeral services for Tony DiMaggio, 90, of Tampa will be held this morning at ten a.m. at the Adams and Jennings Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
