Altandhu was spelt 'Altandow' in the original record The columns on the 1851 census read; No. of Householder's Schedule Name of Street, Place, or Road, and Name or No. of House Name and Surname of each Person who abode in each house, on the Night of the 30th March, 1851 Relation to Head of Family Condition Age of Males Females Rank, Profession, or Occupation Where Born Whether Blind, or Deaf-and-Dumb
The 18 households are numbered from 92 to 110, appearing on pages 28 to 33 of Enumeration District 8 for the Parish of Lochbroom. I have identified the households by using a prefix of "51" for the year of the census, and a suffix which is the Schedule number for that household. Unless otherwise noted all the inhabitants were born in the Parish of Lochbroom, Ross Shire.
