Company K, 11th
Georgia Regiment, Infantry ~~~ “Houston Volunteers”
This site is dedicated to the Confederate
Veterans who served in Co K, 11th Ga regiment from Houston County
and the surrounding area. These were
brave men who fought together for a common cause. Some were brothers, some
cousins, some neighbors, but they were all comrades on the battlefield. They
endured the hardships of warfare together.
It is my hope that by gathering as much data as possible about this
unit, we can learn more about their experiences. By researching these men, I
will be researching my ancestors’ friends and comrades. My connection to this company is : Henry Walker Mann
(great-granduncle), Russell Fitzgerald Mann
(great-granduncle), and Samuel Harrison
Fitzgerald (great-great-granduncle). I would love to hear from others who have
ancestors in this same company or know of any information that would be helpful
to this endeavor. You may contact me through email at: LionelHBrown@hotmail.com
I want to thank everyone who has already
provided me with a lot of valuable information on this company and on some of
the individual soldiers. Hoping to hear from others.
