BAKER FAMILY HISTORY

Our earliest BAKER ancestor that I have been able to document is JOHN BAKER who married
SUSANNA MARTIN in Woburn Massachusetts in  1654. Records suggest he was born in England
however I have not documented it. This ancestry  list continues from John and Susanna Baker
through their 6th great granddaughter SUSIE  LENA BAKER b. 1889 in Minnesota

Our Baker's were among the earliest settlers of Massachusetts. They fought in the early Indian wars, the Great Swamp Fight of 1675, War of 1812, the Battle of Narragansett, the Revolutionary War and the Civil War.

The earliest documented marriage for one of our Bakers (that I can find)
took place in 1654 in Woburn, Massachusetts. The family also lived in
Swansea, and Rehoboth, Massachusetts.  In 1793 our Bakers lived in Ft. Ann and Cortland New York.
By 1844, our Bakers were living in  Aurora, Illinois. By 1889 they were living in Correll, Minnesota,
where Susie Lena  Baker (Mielke) was born.
