Jakob and Magdalena (Hoffman) Walcker

My Great Grandparents
Jakob Walcker b.18 January 1842 Neu Freudenthal, Russia and
Magdalena Hoffman b. 12 December 1844 Peterstal, Russia,
Came to America aboard the vessel "Ems" in 1885
They lived in McPherson County, South Dakota.
Jakob and Magdalena are my paternal great grandparents

Note: Originally spelled Walcker, part of the family
dropped the "c" and used the Walker spelling. As a child, I was told
that the spelling change was an effort to Americanzie the family name.

These are some of Jakob and Magdalena (Hoffman) Walckers children.
Standing in the back row are two daughters Rosina (Rose) born 1882 and
Juliana (Julia) born 1877 (I don't know which one is which).
Standing far right is Adam Ludwig (Louie) born 1880,
Seated left (I believe but not sure) is Freidrich (Fred)born 1867 and
Seated right is my grandfather Jacob Walcker born 1873 (later changed the spelling to Walker).
Other children born to this family were Johann born 1874, Christian (Christ) born 1876
and Heinrich (Henry) born 1886
