My 2nd great-grandfather, Johann Friedrich Opp, was born in 1815 in Glückstal, Russia. He was the son of Urban Opp, born 1775 in Rockenhausen, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. I have extracted the Opp (and other related families) from the Parish Records of the Ev. Lutheran Church of Rockenhausen, which is in the province of Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. The Parish Records consist of birth, confirmation, marriage and death records from 1620 to 1798. I've included a gedcom file that you can download if you like, however, if you use this information, please attach my name to it. Please be aware that there are bound to be errors in this body of work. The information was transcribed from long hand German script in various degree's of readability, so there are bound to be errors. I've also done my best to investigate and confirm family connections, although I cannot say, with all certainty that I have it correct, so please do not accept this research as FACT.
