Michael Power, born 1799, in Ireland, came to New Brunswick in June of 1816, settling on the Sherman Road, at Kent Settlement, Elgin Parish, Albert County, New Brunswick. He married Jerusha Lynn Mitton, daughter of Ralph Johnson Mitton & Jane Catherine Trites, on 17 Mar 1833
