for 1936
The original registers are for christenings 1786-1837 (PRO, Kew:
RG 4/694) christenings 1837-1975 at Derbyshire Records Office,
Matlock
There are copies of the christenings 1786-1837 on Microfilm at
Derbyshire Record Office and LDS, Salt Lake City
Note - there is also a Brook Street Chapel - General Baptist in
Derby
The only way to access the christenings of Brook Side Chapel 1837-1975
is therefore at Derbyshire Records Office.

United Reformed Church, Victoria Street [Countess of Huntingdon's
Connexion, Independent, Congregational]
Congregation founded 1779; met first in Common Yard, later in
Cross Street (now Macklin Street). Moved to new chapel in Brook
Side (now known as Victoria Street) 1784. Associated with Lady
Huntingdon's Connexion until 1796. Congregation merged with Green
Lane United Reformed Church, 1976. [D 2608/2, XM 2/4]

records relating to the United Reformed Church at Brook
Side/Victoria Street in Derby apart from registers. These include
minutes
1800-1986, church rolls 1822-1959 and membership rolls 1960-1983,
Sunday
School records 1847-1939, and various other documents dating back
to 1779.
The collection also includes a section relating to the fabric of
the church
and a small number of photographs are noted.
