THE JONES FAMILY
Agnes married Thomas Cowsert (Sr.). It seems apparent that she was born in Ireland, since her husband and all her children were born there.
Jones may have been her maiden name. Her father may have been Richard Jones. She and her children were left land in a will made by Richard Jones in October 1811. This is an educated guess, based on other facts, but no proof exists.
When her husband died in 1797, Agnes sold some or all of the property in Chester County, South Carolina, and moved her family to Livingston County, Kentucky. She died there, but the year is not known. A guess would place it around 1810 to 1820.
