The 1860 Dade County, GA census consists of two different families.  The men
are brothers; their wives are sisters.  They are as follows:

William Jarvis
Nancy Adeline
Ephriam
James
John
Franklin

Lewis M.
Rachel
Billie
William M.
Mary A.\
Sarah
and on my list: Jarvis

These two men were brothers of my great grandmother, Sarah Sammons Brown.
Both men died in the War between the States.  Their mother was Elizabeth
"Betsey" Wilkinson Sammons Street -- widow of Bird Street.

My mystery is who was Betsey's first husband and the father of her six
children???
Surely, one of the Sammons researchers can give me a clue.  Please!!!

I have finally found proof of my great-great grandfathers given name.  JAMES 
SAMMONS married Elizabeth WILKINSON.  He died in Dade Co. GA [I think] but he 
had holdings in Franklin Co. TN at his death.  That is all I have been able 
to prove so far, but maybe the given name will help.
