The State of Alabama Bibb County

I Grove Samons do hereby make and declair this my last Will and Testament in
maner and form following that is to say first I Give and bequeath unto my wife
Sally Samons all my Estate both Real and Personal of whatsoever nature it may
be during her natural Life then to be divided between all my children as
follows 2nd after my Death and the Death of my said wife I give and bequeath
unto my son Isham Samons Two negroes namely John a Boy about thirty Eight
years old and Nancy a Girl about fifteen years old and all the Increase that
she may have from this time 3rd Also after the Death of myself and my said
wife I give and bequeathe unto my Daughters Martha Bastin Elizabeth Batey my
son Howel Samons Sally Ausbern Lurany McCullers Mary Pearce and Frenethy
Pearce all the Balance of my Estate of whatsoever nature it may be that I have
not given to my son Isham Samons to be sold and to be Divided in equal
Portions between them and Lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my son
Isham Samons and my friend Sinclair D McCarry Executors to this my Last Will
and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and fixed my seal
this 28th May A D 1848.
