The KENT family came from Butler and Crenshaw Counties, Alabama, went to Mer Rouge, LA, then Ashley Co AR, and on to Union, Lincoln and Jackson Parishes LA.
Levi KENT married Darcus and lived in Georgia, then moved to Butler and Crenshaw
Co. Alabama. Levi and Darcus were both born between 1780 and 1790. Levi died
in 1850. They married abt 1805. They had at least 7 children.

Nancy married Josiah DAVIS abt 1825 in Alabama, and had 13 children.

Sara 'Lucinda DAVIS was my great-grandmother. She was born in 1840, and died
abt 1923. She married Randolph M. CURLEE in 1860, I am sure in Jackson Parish,
LA., but the courthouse burned, so all old records are lost. Lucinda stated
in the Clark Co. AR 1910 census that she was the mother of 9 children, I
guess the others died as infants.
Their known children were: Rebecca C CURLEE b 1862 Elizabeth CURLEE b 1868 Jones Marion CURLEE b 1870 Jackson CURLEE b 1872 *Jasper Newton CURLEE* b 1877
and Randolph had a child by Kate FUTRELL, Allen CURLEE b 1888.
My grandfather was Jasper Newton CURLEE, born 14 Aug 1877 in Texas, and died
8 Nov 1940 in Winston-Salem, NC. He married Laura Ann Spikes the 23rd of
Apr 1899, in Olla, LA. She was born 8 Aug 1878 and died 8 Oct 1962.
