Newit Sammons 120 Acres } This Indenture made this Sixth day Waters of Nelsons Creek of } of August in the Year of our Lord Harpeth River Conveyed } One Thousand eight hundred and ten by James Hampton } Between James Hampton of Williamson Registered 24th May 1811 } County and State of Tennessee of the One part and Newit Sammons of the said County and State of the other part Witnesseth that the said James Hampton for and in consideration of the sum of Six hundred Dollars to him in hand paid by the said Newit Sammons the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given granted and bargained sold alined conveyed and confirmed unto the said Newit Sammons his heirs and assigns forever, a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Williamson {[P. 592] and State aforesaid on the waters of Nelsons Creek of Harpeth River Containing one hundred and twenty acres of land Be =ginning on a large poplar Robert Carothers North West Corner running North twenty Six degrees West to a Small maple thence North forty degrees East to a large black gum thirty degrees East fifteen poles to a white oak, North forty Six poles to a honey Locust East one hundred and thirty Nine poles to a sugar tree and ash, South one hundred and nine poles to a small sugar tree, Robert Carothers North East corner, west one hundred and fifty eight poles to the Beginning To have and to hold the aforesaid land with all and singular the rights profits involvments? hereditaments and appurtenances of in and to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Newit Sammons his heirs and assigns forever, and the said James Hampton for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth Covenant and agree to and with the said Newit Sam =mons his heirs or assigns, the before recited land and bar =gained promises he will warrant and forever defend against the right title and or claims of all and every person or persons whatever. In Witness whereof the said James Hampton hath hereunto set his hand and Seal the day and year above written. Signed Sealed and delivered } James Hampton {{Seal}} In the presence of us } William Banks, James Boatright } Edmund Laurance } Upon which deed was written State of Tennessee, Williamson County Seat: The foregoing deed of conveyance was duly proven in open Court April Session 1811 by the oaths of William Banks and Edmund Laurance two of the subscribing Witnesses thereto, to be act and deed of James Hampton, and the same was and it is to be registered.
