Notice in: 1835 Newit, Abner, Watson (Notice spelling - SAMINS 1836 Newit, Abner 1837 Newit, Abner ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Newit moved from Greensville Co. VA about 1810 to Williamson Co. TN and bought 120 Acres of land from James Hampton on the Waters of Nelsons Creek of Harpeth River. It was Registered 24th May 1811. Newit sold his land 3rd March 1831 to Hartwell B. Hyde. From a document I have, dated 15 April, 1833 Newit seems to have moved to Rutherford Co. TN after he sold his property and was living with his son, Richard, who had bought land 2nd Jan 1832 in Rutherford Co. Rutherford County, Tennessee Pension Application of Lewis Grigg S. 3417 April 15, 1833 Newit(X)SAMMONS, aged 83 in May next, at the house of Richard SAMMONS...... Newit died before the 8th day of September 1839, the date of the Power of Attorney that all the children filed Newit's probate.
