 		W H Downing 1836 76 acres  } This Indenture made and entered into this Second
		of Land Conveyed by Philip } day of November in the Year of our Lord one
		Hodges  registered July 12 } thousand Eight hundred and thirty five between
		day AD 1836                ) Philip Hodges of the county of Williamson &
					   ) State of Tennessee of the one part and William
		H Downing of the County & State aforsaid of the other part Witnesseth that for and
		in consideration of the Sum of Sixteen hundred and Sixty three dollars in hand
		paid by the Said William to the Said Philip before the Sealing and
		delivering of these presants the recipt whearof is herby acknolledged hath granted
		bargained Sold delivered unto the Said William Downing his heirs or assigns forever a
		certain tract or parcel of Land Situate Lying & Being in the county and State aforsaid
		and on the head of big harpeth and Lying and bounded as follows {Viz} Beginning
		at a Large red oak in Johnson Jordain West boundry at the South East corner of
		a tract of Land belonging to the heirs of James Hodges & run then west one
		hundred and Sixty five poles to a hom? beam? in Stephen Wood East boundry it
		also being the South West Corner of Said heirs tract Then running South with
		Said Wood Line one hundred and Eighty poles To a Small red oak & Mulbury
		Then East one hundred and Sixty three poles to a Sweet Gum in Johnson
		Jordain west boundry Then north With Said Line one hundred and Seventy
		Eight poles to the Beginning containing one hundred and Eighty three acres
		and 76 poles to have and to hold the aforsaid bargained premises with all
		and Singular the advantages hereditaments and appurtinances thereunto belonging or
		any wise appurtaining unto the Said William H Downing his heirs and assigns forever
		and I the Said Phillip Hodges for myself my heirs and assigns to _______ and a
		gree to and with the Said William his heirs & to warrant and forever defend
		the aforsaid bargained premises to him the Said William his heirs against the claim
		or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever Lawfully _____ In testimony
		whereof I the Said Philip Hodges have hereunto Set my hand and Seal the day & date above

		Johnson Jordan and Isaiah C. Gault Subscribing witnesses to the within
		named and who being first Sworn depose and Says that they are
		acquainted with Philip Hodges the written named bargained and that
		be acknolleged the Same in their presance to be his act and ___ upon
		the day it bears date Witness my hand at office this 12 day of
		July AD 1836
