State of Tennessee ) to any Lawfull officer of Williamson County ) said County to Executed Return Whereas Elijah Radford Shoe maker hath this day made Complaint upon oath Before me Oliver Williams one of the Justices of the Peace for the County aforesaid, that this Present day two Hogs one Read & White Another Sow & one Read & White Sow, have Been Feloniously stolen taken and Carried away From the house of him this Said Elijah Radford Shoe Maker aforesaid in the County aforesaid and that he hath Just Cause to suspect and doth Suspect that Robert Sammons & his Wife Elizabeth Sammons & Ann or Nancy Sammon and Mary Sammons of Williamson County Feloniously did steal take & Carry away the Same These are therefore to Command you to take the Badges of the Said Robert Sammons Elizabeth Sammons & Ann or Nancy Sammons and Mary Sammons and bring them Before me or Some other Justice of the Peace of the County aforesaid to answer the Complaint in the Premises as the Law Directs Herein fail not given ______ My hand & Seal this the 15th day July 1809 Oliver Williams {Seal} Summons Witnesses for the State John Crafton & Benjamin Roberts & Sarah Sammons & Elender Little O. others of Tennessee Williamson County Be it Remembered that on the 16th Day of July 1809 Elijah Radford Came Before me Oliver Williams one of the Justices of the Peace of and in the said County aforesaid and acknowledged himself to owe to the State of Tennessee the Sum of one hundred & twenty five Dollars to be Void on Condition that the Said Elijah Radford Shall will & truly make his Personal appeareance at the next County Court to be held for the County of Williamson at the Court house in the town of Franklin on the Second Monday in October next and Shall Prossecute Robert Sammons in Behalf of the State for Stealing takeing & Carring away two hogs the Property of him the Said Elijah Radford and also give Evidence in Behalf of the State & not Depart Without leave then this Recognizance to be Void otherwise to Remain in full fource & Effects this Day above Written his Elijah X Radford Test mark O Williams JP ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Be it remembered that on the 16th Day July 1809 Robert Sammons of Williamson County Planter Personally Came before me Oliver Williams one of the Justices of the Peace of and in the Said County and acknowledged himself to owe to the State of Tennessee one hundred & twenty five Dollars under Condition that if he Shall Personally appeare Before the County Court of Please & quarter Sessions at the Courthouse in the Town of Franklin on the Second Monday in October next Then and there to answer all Such Charges as Shall be Exhibitted against him in behalf of the State Relative to his Stealing and takeing & Carring away two hogs the Property of Elijah Radford and not not Depart Without Leave of the Court Then this Recognizance to be Void otherwise to Remain in force & Effect in Law this 16th Day July 1809 Test O Williams JP Robert Samons Be it Remembered that for the 16th Day of July 1809 John Crafton Senr Came Before me Oliver Williams one of the Justices of the Peace for this County of Williamson and acknowledged himself to owe & be indebted to the State of Tennessee the Sum of one hundred Dollars to be Void on Condition that Robert Sammons makes his Personal appeareance at the Courthouse in the town of Franklin on the Second Monday in October next then and there to answer to all Such matters & things as Shall or may be Exhibbitted against Said Sammons for his Stealing takeing & Carriing two hogs the Property of Elijah Radford and abide by the order of Court & not Depart Without leave then this Recognizance to be Void or then to Remain in full fource & Effects John Crafton Test O Williams JP
