SAMMONS

     BENJAMIN SAMMONS - NY Line, S11345, soldier was born in 1758 at Shawangunk in Ulster Co 
	NY and he lived there at enl, he appl 19 Sep 1832 at Johnstown in Montgomery Co NY, in 
	1832.

     CORNELIUS SAMMONS - NY Line, S23419, was of Springfield in Otsego Co NY (he was a cousin 
	of Benjamin Sammons.)

     FREDERICK SAMMONS - NY Line, S11350, soldier was born 4 Jul 1760 in Ulster Co NY and he 
	lived at Johnstown in Tryon Co which later became Montgomery Co NY at enl and he appl 
	there 21 Sep 1838 leaving children: 
	Lydia,     widow of John Van Wagenen,
	Rachel,    wife  of Joseph Wert,
	Mary,      wife  of Horace Foote,
	Elizabeth, wife  of William Nichols,
	Ruth Ann,  wife  of Timothy Johnson,
	Jane,      wife  of William Simmons,
	Catharine, wife  of Thomas Sammons,
	Hester,    wife  of James Davis,
	Angeline,  wife  of John Sparker 

     JOHANNES SAMMONS - NY Line, W18998, soldier married Margrita 'Margaret Wynkoop at her 
	father's in Rochester NY on 13 Mar 1778, soldier died 1 Aug 1830 in Orange Co NY  
	and his widow applied there 6 Mar 1839 aged 80, the only child named was Janneka 'Jane  
	who was baptized 6 May 1779 when she was age 18 days at Rochester NY, in 1839 a grand
	daughter Jane Whitehead aged 29 a resident of Deer Park NY made affidavit but did not 
	name her parents.

     JOHN SAMMONS - NJ & NY Line - S6045, soldier was born in 1758-59 in Orange Co NY, soldier 
	lived in Sussex Co NJ at enl and after the Revolution he lived for "some time" in 
	Orange Co NY and in 1794 soldier moved to Greenbrier Co VA where he applied 24 Sep 1832.

     NEWIT SAMMONS - S1720, soldier was born in 1749, soldier lived in Brunswick Co VA at enl 
	and he lived in VA after the Revolution, then moved to (Williamson Co TN) then Ruther- 
	ford Co TN where he applied 22 May 1833 aged 83 yrs.

     REUBEN SAMMONS - NJ Line, S41121, applied 24 Aug 1819 Sussex Co NJ aged 60 and he had
	lived there at enl, in 1820 soldier stated he had neither wife or children.
	Last name could be spelled SAMONS, SIMONS, SIMMONS, or SAMMONS.

     THOMAS SAMMONS - NY Line, S19000, soldier was born 29 Oct 1762 at Shawangunk in Ulster Co 
	NY and he lived at Johnstown NY at enl and in 1780 he moved with his father's family to
	Marbletown NY because the British destroyed their home but they returned after the
	Revolution and soldier applied 20 Sep 1832 at Johnstown NY, sol married Mary Wood 16 
	Dec 1792 at Caughnawaugh in Montgomery Co NY, soldier died 20 Nov 1838 and his widow 
	applied 25 Jan 1843 at Mohawk in Montgomery Co NY aged 69.
