On 19 September 1797 Anselem entered into a financial agreement with Elizabeth Mason, the executrix of the estate of Jno (John) Mason in the amount of $121.80. Apparently this indenture was for the same 50 acres of property that he purchased in August of 1797 from the Finches. The indenture is recorded in Sussex County Book I, page 158 and was acknowledged in the presence of Archer Parker, Ben W. Johnson and J.C. Bale. This deed was apparently for the same 50 acres that were mentioned in the 1797 deed. The property was described as, "beginning at a red oak on the mill pond in Sally Sledges line". The deed was signed by Anselm Sammons and Nancy Sammons by Mark and by Elizabeth Mason in her own handwriting.
