Stephen Wood deed for 50 Acres} This Indenture made this 2nd day of November one Thousand eight hundred & thirty five Between Watson of Land Conveyed by } Sammons of the one part and Stephen Wood of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said Watson Sammons Watson Sammons } for the consideration of three hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Registered 2nd April 1837 } hath bargained and sold and confirmed unto the said Stephen Wood, his heirs and assigns forever a certain } tract or parcel of land, situate, lying and being in the County of Williamson and State of Tennessee on the waters of the Harpeth river, beginning at a cedar James Hodges, North West corner, running East 170 poles to a dogwood said Hodges North East corner, thence North 60 poles to a cedar, thence West 70 poles to a cedar in Stephen Woods East boundry line, thence South to the beginning - fifty acres be the acres more or less, To have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land bargained premises with the appurtenances to the only use of the said Stephen Wood, his heirs and assigns forever and sd Sammons for himself his heirs, executors administrators & assigns doth agree to and with the said Stephen Wood his heirs and assigns that the before certain tract of land with the appurtenances will warrant & defend against the just and legal claims of all persons whatsoever. In witness whereof the said Watson Sammons hath set his hand and seal the day an date above written --- signed sealed and delivered in the presence of us, Test. William White, Abner (hisXmark) Sammons (Witness before assigned) his Watson X Sammons (Seal) mark State of Tennessee Williamson County I personally approved ______ Lemuel? B.
