Came to Elbert Co Georgia in 1787 when he received a gant of 300 acres. He is on the 1801 Tax Digest there with James & Moses Bailey all in the Ruckersville-Vans Creek district of which Hezekiah was the captain. There is a will of an Ezekiah Bailey writted June 25, 1812 and reorded Oct 12, 1812. he had a wife Rebecca and wit. Samuel Bailey (son)? These dates conflict by a few months with some other dates that I have but I think it must be him.

This day came the parties by their attornies and thereupon came also a jury James Blair, Joseph Paxton, Samuel Keys, William MCling Sen, William W. Clung jun, Alexander Smiley, Thomas Cunnngham, Alexander Stuart, William McDowell, John McCulloch Jun, James Dryden and James Wright who being elected tried and sworn the truth to ospeak upon the ? joined upon their oath do say that the defendants are guilty of the slander in the declaration mentioned and they so assess their damages by occation thereof to one pound fifteen shillings. Therefore it is considered by the court tht the plaintiff recover against the said defendants their damages afforesaid in form afforesaid assased and one pound fifteen shilings for their costs in the behalf expended, etc.

On the motion of Benjamin Snodgrass it is ordered that Emerich Atizer pay unto him seventy-five pounds of Tobacco for three days attendence as a witness for his adiction James Bailey & Infant.

He is on the 1801 Tax Digest there with James & Moses Bailey all in the Ruckersville-Vans Creek district of which Hezekiah was the captain. There is a will of an Ezekiah Bailey writted June 25, 1812 and reorded Oct 12, 1812. he had a wife Rebecca and wit. Samuel Bailey (son)? These dates conflict by a few months with some other dates that I have but I think it must be him.
