Hardy Houston Creal/Creel, Sr. b: July 4. 1897 Mobile County, AL, d. May 10, 1976. Mobile County, Alabama. Son of Elijah Creel b abt 1845 MS d 1899; and Vina? Dearman Creal/Creel b. 1865, Meridian, Lauderdale County, MS; d. Aug 1929 in Mobile County, AL. Both of Lauderdale County, MS, moving to Mobile County, AL. Hardy is grandson of Wesly Creel, b. TN d. MS; and J(G)erusha Nicholas b abt 1823 Warrior, AL, d. MS. Hardy is buried in Memorial Garden Cemetery, Mobile, AL. He was 1St SGT in Us Army WW1, serving in Italy and France. Hardy was put in Children's Home in Mobile, AL. Hardy and 1/2 brother Frank Stapleton ran away from the children's home, when Hardy, going to live with his cousin, Barney Creel and Hardy's 1/2 brother Frank Stapleton and  brotherHiram Creal/Creel. Hardy died at his 10 acre home, on Wilmer Road, Grand Bay, Mobile County, AL. Hardy and Della bought their home from the Crenshaw family, Della's cousins in Grand Bay, Mobile County, AL.

[Note:] Hardy & Della had a 50th Wedding Party in Aug 1967, at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Harold & Sylvia Creal in Grand Bay, AL. The party was a great success with sibling, cousins, and various friends attenting, and great food. Also, my Uncle had three live small allgators swimming in the basement of his home. I tried to feed the gators chicken bones; but, my couson Robert got me away from the gators before I could feed them.

Marriage Book 48 pg 293 Mobile Co., AL records: CREAL, HARDY H and WIGGINS, DELLA MAE 08/14/1917, but married in Choctaw County, AL with the Wiggins family. Creal on marriage records. On SSDI card Della Mae is daughter of Christopher Columbus (LUM) Wiggins and Martha S. (Mattie) Owens of Choctaw County, AL.

Mrs. Creel, a native of Vilonia, Ark., was a resident of Grand Bay for 52 years. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Hardy H. Creel Jr. of Grand Bay; two sisters, Katie Wilson of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Charlsie Garland of Conway, Ark.; and other relatives. Preceded in death by her parents, Charlie & Laural Parks, Ark. Funeral services will be today at 2 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Home. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Gardens. [Note: Opal & Hardy Jr. did not have any children.]

Mr. Harold James CREAL -- born March 9th, 1922. A native of Orchard, AL and a lifelong resident of Grand Bay, Mobile County, died at the home residence of his brother Clayton Creel, on Saturday evening, January 24, 2004. Mr. CREAL was a member of the Widens, Deacon and Sunday School teacher at Friendship Baptist Church, Grand Bay, AL; member Bill Glass Prison Ministry, Electrical Supervisor at Baroquely Air Force Base, former owner of Bayou Heron Fish Camp, Pecan, Jackson County, MS; sponsored T-Ball and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Mr. CREAL was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Sherrell CREAL and son, Harold James CREAL, Jr. His parents: Hardy Houston Creal/Creel & Della Mae Wiggins. Sisters: Lolla Creal, L. Creal, Iris Creel Walker, MayeBelle Creel Austin Todd, Esther Creal Felps. Brother: John Creal; Sister in laws: Gloria [Pendarvis] Creel; Opal [Parks] Creel; brother in law Ernest [Esther] Felts. His grandparents: Elijah Creel & Vina {Dearman} Creel Stapleton. And Aunts: Leona Creal, Julia Creal; Uncles: John Creel, Hiram M. Creel, B. Creel of Mobile County, AL His grandmother Vina's second husband & step-grandfather: Joseph Stapleton, and their sons Joe & Frank Stapleton. Great grandparents: Christopher C. Wiggins & Martha S. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Harold's grandson, Rev. Sam Creal & past and present pastors from Friendship Church officiating. The family wishes to express special thanks to Harold's neice, Sonya Creal Reeves for her loving care. Funeral Services held Sunday for Mrs. Ernest Felps. Funeral services for Mrs. Esther Creal Felps of Grand Bay, Ala., who died April 13 at the Jackson County Hospital, Pascagoula MS, were conducted Sunday from the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hardy Creal of Grand Bay. The funeral procession went from the home, to the Free Methodist Church, where the Rev. Symco and the Rev. Ward officiated. Interment was in the Grand Bay Cemetery. Fails Funeral Home was in charge. Pall bearers were Hugh Fort, Bob Hoffman, Eugene McDonald, Orie Fitch and Mac Maxwell. Mrs. Felps, who was 20 years old, is survived by her husband, Cpt. Ernest Felps stationed in England; two children, Barbara Ann and Ernest Timmy (Timothy); her parents, three sisters, Maybelle, Iris and Ruth; five brothers, Sgt. Hardy Creal, Sgt. Harold Creal, with armed forces overseas, Clayton, Curtis and Alvin Creal of Grand Bay.
