Mt. Hope Cemetery

Lapeer County

1230 Park St.

Lapeer , Michigan

Lasted updated  July 1, 2004

These transcriptions were taken from pictures which I took of the tombstones and some of the names and dates are hard to make out so please let me know if I made an error.    The pictures were taken randomly throughout the cemetery and I plan to add more the next time I visit Lapeer.  This is only a small sampling of the cemetery taken in 2002 and 2003.   I won't have the opportunity to add to this transcription very often but if you have more pictures or information to add, the additions would be appreciated.   I usually list the veterans in red if I am aware of them.    I have digital photos of most of the tombstones listed below so if you would like a copy before I get it posted, let me know and I will get put it up sooner or email you a copy.  Also, I  cut the photo down to about 20 kb to post it - if you would like a copy of the original  that is not cropped let me know and I will try to send it to you.

If you have any questions or corrections for this page please contact Sharon Spaulding at [email protected] . Please put Mt. Hope or Cemetery in the subject line or my spam filter might delete the message.  If you send me an email and I don't respond within a couple of days, please try again.  Sometimes my spam filter gets a little overzealous.
