Judge Samuel Wilson Barnes
Samuel Wilson Barnes was a native of
Kentucky.
In 1837, Samuel and his wife Martha
Jane Still
moved to to Pulaski Co., (later became
Laclede Co.) Missouri.
Samuel
Wilson was elected to be the County Court
Justice in
1849 shortly after Laclede Co. formed. He served several terms.
Samuel
Wilson served in the Civil War as a Union Private in
Company A,
6th Regiment, Missouri Cavalry volunteers.
