at Exton Hall and moved after C1881 to Eathorpe.He retired as
Head Gamekeeper to the Earl of Warwick and after retirement he
lived in a tied cottage in Castle St, Warwick. He was married
at Warwick 1882-1Q to EMMA CHURN(she b 1860). Believe he at
Wedgerock Park Warwick in June 1915. He died 1937-3Q age 79 and
she 1936-1Q age 76

WILLIAM HENRY (24) (08.01.1888-25.12.1972) He was a Gamekeeper at Warwick,
and later a Railway Policeman in Birmingham and in London, where he met
Annie, who was working in a hotel as a Linen Maid. He married to Annie
Elizabeth Roberts (known as Alice "Rooney" Roberts)(22.03.1890-08.12.1969)
Annie's father was a farmer at Stanwell, on land which is now part of
Heathrow Airport.William worked at HMV at Hayes, lived at Stanwell, Middx,
and owned a short terrace of cottages and land, which he sold when they
moved to Virginia Water after his retirement. Eleven houses, known as
Derry Dene Close,were built on the land, next to Lord Knyvetts School.
William and Annie were both cremated at Woking, Surrey.

in service to Earl Crawford, and lived in Wigan where three children
were born at Haigh Hall. He moved to the Westminster Estate in
Chester, where he died 1884-4Q age 36.

Elizabeth, widow of Thos Fisher was put into mental home by the old Duke.
Two youngest, Cecil & Eliz. Geo. were sent to a convent in the south.
The other two boys sent to sea, Thos F junior being lost age 20/21 in
the China Seas.

CECIL HERBERT (38) bp 1882-4Q Chester. He moved back to Exton as a
young man, started as a Telegraph Boy at Oakham and ended up as Head
Postmaster at Frome, Somerset. He came back to Exton on retirement,
died in 1967 (noted as Frome SOM 1967-4Q age 84), and is buried there.

He was married three times :

M1 Oakham 1905-1Q to a Kate Elizabeth, he a P O Clerk, and they lived

GEORGE (11) bp Exton 1840-2Q. He was a Gamekeeper at Barnsdale, and
at his death 12.08.1916 age 76 was noted as "of Whissendine", for many
years in the service of the Earl of Gainsboro. He married Matilda Ayres
15.08.1867, botp, both full age, she b Bradford Lee, Wilts 1835, and
buried 21.06.1907 age 73 at Oakham. They were married at Exton Hall,
she was ladies maid to Lady Gainsborough, he was Gamekeeper to Lord
Gainsborough, who insisted that the wedding should be at Exton Hall.
George moved to Broad Inton and back to Exton, also as a Groom to
Brinklow, Coventry, and back to Exton.

 Children included:-

1868-4Q Shipston Fanny Matilda b Chipping Camden. She died age 21
        of consumption. Death noted 1890-3Q Marlboro.

Lived at Brinklow, was a Runner at Wolverhampton (family still has his
trophies). He moved to Exton, Hambleton, Whissendine, Collyweston,
Duddington, and back to Exton in 1902.He married 1909-3Q to Elizabeth
Clark of Hambleton, who was then working as a Groom at Whissendine. She
was one of 13 Children.CEE enlisted in Royal Field Artillery as a Driver
S.No.165191 British War Medal and Victory Medal issued 08.12.1921.
Apparently "Mentioned in Despatches" but MoD no record. Roll of Honour
at Whissendine......see FAM 109. Stamford Mercury....Athletics Prize
article was published after his death. CEE and Elizabeth are buried at
Duddington. Headstone says CEE bur 25.02.1958, age 77 and E 25.10.1962
age 82.

        wounded and bleeding and then not seen again.
        He is on Roll of Fallen Heroes at Tickencote.
