William Henry FORREST, the son of William (a bandsman), was born in either Margate, Kent or London, England on the 19th of June between the years 1880 & 1884. Henry was a bandsman with the Old Buffs (East Kent Regiment) until 1910 when he & a buddy left for Halifax, Nova Scotia & the Royal Canadian Regiment. Henry returned to England for the Great War & married Nellie Amy WHITE, daughter of Walter George & Lucy (HAMMOND) WHITE, in Maidstone, Kent, 1 September 1916. William Henry & Nellie raised their children in various posts throughout Canada. The longest stay was in London, Ontario.
