The Colwell Cemetery

This cemetery is located on the George Colwell farm at Colwell's Wharf on the Washademoak Lake at Lower Cambridge. It is not exclusively a family cemetery for it contains related families as well as neighbours. It is not overgrown but recently cattle had access to the cemetery and knocked down most of the stones. The fence is currently being rebuilt.  One heavy red granite stone was laying on its face and no inscription was recorded from it. Three obelisks are on their sides and more inscriptions may be on the bottoms of them. Also, there are six field stones that appear to be grave markers. This cemetery dates from the 1840's to 1957.
