Dykeman Family Cemetery - Jemseg - Queens County, New Brunswick, Canada
Dykeman Family Cemetery Jemseg, Queens Co., NB
Photos by Betty Damery fall 2002 When I took the photos in the fall of 2002, the cemetery was overgrown.
Note from a recording
of this cemetery at the Provincial Archives of New Brunswick:
This cemetery is located
at Jemseg on the left of the old Trans-Canada Highway, 1.2 miles east of
the Jemseg bridge. In 1961 is was on land owned by the Dykeman Family since
the 1790's; the adjacent farm was owned and operated by Norman A. Dykeman.
This graveyard was in use from at least the 1840's. The last person
to be buried there died in 1961. This data was collected earlier and was
checked by Myra B. D'Aoust and M. Dawn Bremner for the Queens County
Historical Society on 2 June 1975.
