Baptist Church Cemetery

The Mill Cove Baptist Church on the Trans-Canada Highway at Mill Cove, Parish of Cambridge, has two Cemeteries. There is a nicely kept churchyard, and the so-called "back cemetery" located in bushes behind the present cemetery site. This back cemetery is surrounded but not overgrown and beside the inscriptions recorded herein there are six graves with no markers as well as three iron markers with nothing visible on them. Some data had been collected here several years ago. One stone at least is no longer legible (present ?), and we also received other information of interest to genealogist which is not recorded on the stones. This information is recorded in brackets following the inscriptions given. (This data was checked by Dawn & Ted Bremner for the Queens County Historical Society on 9 Aug 1975.) During the summer of 2007 when the photos were taken by Betty Damery this cemetery was very overgrown, and several stones were no longer found. CARMICHAEL - Adelaide w/o Johnson S.
