Part of the Slipp Cemetery which was relocated
in 1916 by D.C. Slipp to make way for the Valley Railroad lines. When my
grandfather moved these graves he found 2 or 3 petrified bodies, which
caused quite a bit of excitement around the village. The railway passed
through the farm close by the Cemetery, and as the Cemetery was on higher
ground it had to be cut down to the level of the surrounding ground, and
the slope would disturb the graves, so they had to be moved. (All notes
