This cemetery is record using several sets of records made by Dr. Hanney, Dr. Mildred Smith, and Murray S. Thompson, all found at the Provincial Archives of New Brunswick. The former adding mostly historical note, and each of the remaining two added various notes about the individuals and/or families of those buried here. Where records differ the items recorded as [*]s are from Hanneys' report. Other notations are coded (annotations in round brackets) from Dr. Mildred Smith; and M.S. Thompson are in a separate section and contain additions & annotations. (All extra notes are in blue text.)

Dr. Hanney's report (film)
In the early history of New Brunswick there were few places of public interment, and members of the family were buried on the farm in many cases.  As churches were established and built, graveyards were attached to them, but the fact only Church of England Clergymen were permitted to conduct funeral services in them, prevented members of other Churches from using them, and it was not until non-Comformists got churches and graveyards of their own that the use of private burial places was abandoned. This graveyard contains the graves and monuments of Leonard Slipp, a Loyalist of 1783 and of his descendants and their connections. The first interment in this place was in 1810.

. Part of the Slipp Cemetery which was relocated in 1916 by D.C. Slipp to make way for the Valley Railroad lines. When my grandfather moved these graves he found 2 or 3 petrified bodies, which caused quite a bit of excitement around the village. The railway passed through the farm close by the Cemetery, and as the Cemetery was on higher ground it had to be cut down to the level of the surrounding ground, and the slope would disturb the graves, so they had to be moved.
