On the Harvey Starkey farm, at Codys, about a mile above the Post Office, towards Coles Island, is a private cemetery with several stones, two of which have legible inscriptions.

	STARKEY - Mordecai Starkey d. 3 Feb 1849 ae 92 yrs 6 mos Mordecai Starkey was a Loyalist, the father of a large family, including sons, Obadiah, Nehemiah, James, Dingwell and Hezekiah (unmarried). All the Starkeys of the area are descended from Mordecai. A.P. Hetherington, Cody's, NB
